The Bowdoin College campus comprises approximately 215 acres and includes nearly 120 buildings.
They range from Massachusetts Hall, built 1799–1802, to the College’s newest academic building, the LEED-platinum Roux Center for the Environment, completed in 2018; LEED-certified "green" residence halls; the state-of-the-art Studzinski Recital Hall; Watson Arena, the first LEED-certified hockey arena in the United States; and the Peter Buck Center for Health and Fitness, our 44,659-square-foot health and wellness facility.
Bowdoin's Schiller Coastal Studies Center, located eight miles from campus on 118 acres of Orr's Island, was named in honor of a revitalizing gift from Phil and Kim Schiller.
